West Kelowna is on the West side of the bridge across from Kelowna,
they are separated by Okanagan Lake. The local government District of West Kelowna covers a number of different communities on the west side of the lake, including Glenrosa, Shannon Lake, Smith Creek, Westbank, and Lakeview Heights and has become very popular with families and retirees.
West Kelowna Condominums
Despite the amount of construction, Westbank still has parks and open spaces, and a very good assortment of homes from condos and multi-family units to single family homes. There are several different schools, catering to all students from Kindergarten to senior, including French Immersion options, and downtown Westbank also has more shops and culture.
The shores of Lake Okanagan are easy to get to and there’s plenty of recreation in Westbank too including golf courses, a skatepark, public parks, and many places to enjoy a walk.
Live, Work and Shop In The Community
Westbank has become the bustling city of West Kelowna with numerous new big box stores, large grocery stores, cinema, banks, home improvement stores, restaurants, fast food establishments, and more all being constructed along the Highway 97 corridor. This new development is great for all residents of West Kelowna as you no longer need to travel across the lake to Kelowna for these things. There are also some beautiful sandy beaches, and great hiking trails in Kalamoir Park and Mount Boucherie. The wineries have been a great tourist attraction but also enjoyed by the residents living in the area. They are a natural place to stop in when showing visitors the area.
